If you have a dental emergency, please call our office immediately. Please reach us after hours with the phone numbers left on our answering machine.
If your or your child’s tooth is knocked out:
Rinse the tooth with water. Don’t scrub to remove any tissues. Keep moist in the mouth, milk, or a pinch of salt in water. If the tooth can be successfully replaced in the socket, quick action is necessary. Ideally, this should be done within 15 minutes. Be sure to give us a call.
If your, or your child’s tooth is broken:
Rinse the tooth with water. Place a cold compress to reduce any swelling and call us. If you have a broken piece of the tooth, bring it to us.
If your, or your child’s jaw is broken:
Go to the emergency room and then contact us at a later date.
If you, or your child has a toothache:
Rinse with warm water. Remove food debris with brushing and flossing. Call us for an appointment to be evaluated. Don’t use aspirin on teeth or gums, as it can burn them. Do not apply heat to the outside of the face.
