After graduating with honors from Temple University School of Dentistry, Dr. Lally spent two years as a commissioned officer in in the United States Public Health Service, National Health Service Corps. In 1980 he opened a private practice in Nicholson, subsequently merging the practice with former classmate Dr. Aronsohn to establish Endless Smiles Dental Group in 1988.
Dr. Lally has been on a number of mission trips to Central and South America with Medical Ministry International. On some of these trips he had the opportunity to work coaching dental students from University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
